Kahmal Roy
Coach Kahmal Roy has been a foundational figure within the Long Island Elite National Team Program since its inception more than fifteen years ago, helping shape the competitive and cultural standard that defines the organization today. A former standout at Hofstra University, Roy earned a full athletic scholarship and went on to break multiple school records while receiving NCAA All-American recognition. His collegiate success propelled him to the professional ranks, where he spent time with the New York Jets, the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL, and the NY/NJ Xtreme. Roy’s impact extended seamlessly into coaching. As Head Coach at Holy Trinity High School, he rapidly elevated the program, building a championship-caliber team and producing some of the highest-profile recruits to emerge from Long Island during his tenure. His deep understanding of recruiting dynamics, player development, and culture-building positioned Holy Trinity as a serious destination for college programs nationwide. Under his leadership, the program attracted national attention, including a visit from University of Georgia Head Coach Kirby Smart during the recruitment of one of his premier athletes. Roy’s achievements at Holy Trinity earned him Coach of the Year honors and quickly established him as a rising presence in collegiate coaching circles. He is currently the Running Backs Coach at Long Island University, where he continues to develop talent at the Division I level while mentoring student-athletes in discipline, leadership, and preparation beyond football. In addition to his collegiate role, Roy is the founder of Position Specific Training Academics Social Standards Athletics (P.S.T.A.S.A.), a development platform dedicated to training athletes holistically, emphasizing positional mastery, academic accountability, character development, and life standards. Known for his loyalty, intensity, and commitment to players and families, Coach Roy embodies the Long Island Elite mission: competitive excellence anchored in values.
