Benjamin J. Carey

President & Co-Founder

Benjamin Carey is the torchbearer for youth football in Long Island. You would be hard pressed to find a kids football activity on Long Island that he is not somehow connected to. His exhaustive efforts to raise the level of football in the region and increase opportunities for young players has created an exciting new movement. After 10 years the Long Island Elite Football National Team Program has produced a record number of players with Division I offers and/or commitments, many to Power 5 schools and even the distinguished SEC. In 2023 Carey was chosen as USA Select League Director of the year. His organizations all model the right principles, organizational policies, and safety practices, and have received many awards. He created #TheBlueprintLIE495, an educational program that teaches parents and players from a very young age everything they need to do to increase their chances of being recruited. In 2013 Carey's Northport Youth Football was chosen to film an NFL USA Football Television Commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. His distinguished leadership at Northport Youth Football was recognized by Anthony Williams, President of Suffolk County PAL. Carey personally organized and chaired the Long Island Summit on Football Safety with Dr. James Kinderknecht at the Nassau Coliseum. The program was done in collaboration with the Hospital for Special Surgery and Suffolk County PAL and widely recognized Carey as a safety advocate in the sport of youth football.  He is also the co-founder of The Liberty Challenge, New York City Elite Football, LIYFA, LISpartans, YFBCA, and NPYFC.
