Rob Taiani

COACH, OPERATIONS

Rob Taiani has been with our organization in one capacity or another since 2015. He has given countless hours of his time to families, players, leagues and coaches all across Long Island. He is a major football asset to our region and a role model for our boys. A lifelong resident of Long Island, Taiani is known from the east end to NYC in and out of football circles. He's been on the local board of education for over a decade and was an 18-year PAPD veteran with 13 years as a member of the elite emergency services unit where his heroic work made national news as he saved the life of a New York woman in 2019. He chairs the Lynvets youth football league, a program lauded for developing players and winning. In high school he was on the first team from William Floyd to qualify for the playoffs, and he led the county with 14 1/2 sacks his senior year. He was all-league/all-county, and went on to play at Wagner college, finishing as a transfer to Cortland State. Taiani played 4 years semi-pro with the Suffolk Tomahawkshung and then brought his passion to the kids and local families as the commissioner of Lynvets where they have won 6 outdoor and 6 indoor football championships. 15 years ago Taiani was part of the first travel teams to begin playing outside of Long Island including the Long Island Spartans, Football University, and the Long Island Elite National Team.
